Carmen Palop is the designer and creator behind Carmen Palop Design, a boutique silversmith in Norwich. She produces some beautifully simple yet elegant jewellery and has a a fantastic eye for style and detail. We met at a UNIK Design Craft Fair in December 2015 where we both had stalls. We got chatting about each others businesses and we quickly discovered that she really like my photography style and she was looking to do a Norwich family photography shoot in the new year once the weather improved.
We caught up again at the Spring UNIK Design Craft Fair at the Forum in Norwich and the weather had improved dramatically over the previous few days. So we quickly checked calendars and set a date for their Norwich family photography session. They chose Norwich City centre as the backdrop for their photo session and Norwich City doesn’t disappoint for a multitude of urban, contemporary and historical settings to use.
I met her family in the beautiful Norwich Lanes and we set off for what turned out to be a fantastic couple of hours! The weather held up nicely; it was warm and bright but even at 9.30am the sun in May was already high in the sky, which made for challenging lighting. Being in the city early on a Sunday morning is glorious. It’s quiet with hardly any traffic; motorised or human! This meant we could take our time and explore the city without much interruption.
I’m delighted Carmen and her family loved the experience and the results of their Norwich family photography session just as much as I did. Here are a few of my favourites from their session. I you like them too and you’d like to book a family photography session you can email me and I’ll respond immediately.
