My last wedding of 2017 took me back up to North Norfolk for Annie and Vernon’s wedding in Baconsthorpe and reception at the gorgeous Back To The Garden in Letheringsett. Annie and Vernon had booked me earlier in 2016 and we had kept in regular touch all the way through meeting twice to see their chosen venues and to have a short engagement shoot at the beautiful Baconsthorpe Castle.
Annie and Vernon were very hands on with their wedding, making their own decorations, confetti, table plans and their lovely neighbour made them the most incredible wedding cake. You’ve got to scroll down to see it!
My morning started with Vernon and their children at their lovely cottage having breakfast and getting ready. Annie was out having her hair and makeup and she joined us later on. It was lovely to spend time with them all in their home setting and seeing all their hard work and planning coming together for their day. Annie’s beautiful bouquet, from Passion of Flowers in Holt, was delivered in the morning and she could have burst with excitement when they arrived!
The ceremony was at St. Mary’s Church in Baconsthorpe followed by their reception at Back To The Garden in Letheringsett. Before we set off for Letheringsett though, Annie and Vernon had arranged for an ice cream van outside the church, and I must admit to devouring two delicious vanilla-snickers tubs! They were unbelievably good!
Back To The Garden was made up impeccably for us by the time we’d arrived and everyone quickly settled into having drinks then on to the afternoon meal and speeches. Annie and Vernon are both keen singers and as part of the evening entertainment they’d arranged for an open mic session. It was all beautifully intimate.
The final send off was meant to be a sparkler exit, but there was still dancing to do! So we broke for 10 minutes for sparklers and then everyone hit the dance floor again. This was an absolutely fantastic wedding to shoot and be a part of. Thanks for having me along, here’s your day.
