Fast forward 9 months from a chance meting with Hattie’s mum at the park and this one was one hell of a church wedding celebration! They’re both busy and slightly camera shy doctors, but you’d never have guessed any of this from their photographs. They were both supremely relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Their families welcomed me in to their home for 14 hours of fantastic and intimate celebrations. The weather played its part too and couldn’t have been better, 30C with hardly a cloud in the sky all day.
The day started at Hattie’s family home where she was getting ready with her mum, dad, best friends and neighbours. This was an intimate family wedding. The reception was also at their house and over the morning hours everything came together; from home made salads, cakes (not one cake, a tent load of CAKES!), crazy golf course, makeup, hair and dress. And they managed breakfast too!
The ceremony was at St Andrews Church in Eaton, a short walk away. The ceremony led by Phil Rodd the vicar was full of love, laughs, happy clapping and music by Hattie’s university choir friends. It was beautifully done.
We all walked back to the house after the ceremony where the choir sang their hearts out again before lunch when their favourite university band, Andalus, brought everyone onto the lawn dancing to their favourite Gypsy Kings hits. Boy did they dance!
And the fun and dancing didn’t stop there, crazy golf, shuffle board, table tennis and a pool table kept everyone busy till well after dark. I couldn’t drag myself away till after 11pm when the evening band played their final song.
Hattie and Nick, thanks for a spectacular day. I hope you love the memories I captured for you. These are my favourites from the day.
