Tamsin and Luke’s Mannington Hall wedding was a little special. It had everything from beautifully handmade flower bouquets, speeches that had me and almost everyone else in tears of sadness and joy, wonderful food and a thumping evening party all set in beautiful Mannington Hall estate grounds.
Both born and raised in North Norfolk, they’d met just before university and have been together ever since. Although they’re both living and working in London now, they decided to have their North Norfolk wedding with all their close family and friends.
I met Tamsin and Luke in late Spring at the Georgian Townhouse in Norwich and within a few minutes we were so comfortable with each other and I knew I just had to shoot their wedding! Their planning was well advanced at this stage and they talked me through the logistics of their day at that first meeting: Tamsin would be getting ready at The Pigs in Edgefield with her two bridesmaids, the ceremony was at the Registry Office in Cromer and the Reception was at Mannington Hall near Itteringham. A triple venue wedding and all first times for me. Fantastic!
The late summer weather started off beautifully, with bright blue skies and glorious mid morning light for Tamsin’s bridal prep photos. Her parents arrived towards the end of the morning with the most beautiful bouquets that her mum Amanda had made. They were absolutely stunning and really set the mood for a hands on family wedding.
The Cromer Registry Office at North Lodge Park is a lovely setting for small ceremonies. The ceremony room is beautifully bright with two large windows giving lovely views overlooking the sea. I could sense Luke’s excitement that this was it, it was about to happen, and when Tamsin walked in his expression was priceless. She looked absolutely gorgeous and the two of them exchanged the cutest “we’ve only gone and done it!” looks all the way though.
On to Mannington Hall and the weather gods decided they’d had enough of the sun and blue skies and we were served up several torrential downpours, one after the other. Tamsin and Luke’s families had spent the previous day setting up and decorating The Tea Rooms at Mannington Hall and they’d done a spectacular job with handmade decorations and Luke’s mum did a stunning job with the flowers in the Tea Rooms.
